Provenance and Acquisition

Two purchase notes on fol. 174v: "מודה אני משה בכמ"ר דניאל זלה"ה ממצירטי כמו שמכרתי זה הכתובים שיש בו תילים איוב ומשלי מכירא[!] שרירא וקיימא לכמ"ר שמואל יזי"י בכמ"ר מרדכי זלה"ה היום יום ו’ ערב יום הכיפורים ... קפ"ג"; "מודה אני שמואל יזי"י בכמ"ר מרדכי זלה"ה כמו שהיום יום ג’ כ"ה אוגוס’ כ"ז [=רכ"ז] ... מכרתי זה הכתובים שיש בו תהלים איוב משלי ... שלמה יזי"י בכמ"ר יהודה איש ירושלים ... עשרה פרחי’" Purchase note on fol.1r: "לכמ"ר משה קרמי הגיע לחלק חנמאל ... קרמי" Note in English by Emanuel Mendes da Costa: "This MSS of the Psalms, Job and Proverbs appears to have been wrote by Rabbi Moses the Son of Matthew for the Use of his Brother and to ave been finished AM.5164 of the Jewish Era i.e. AC 1404. Emanuel Mendes da Costa 4 June 1766". Two mostly illegible censors' signatures at the end, one of them is from 1603 (fol. 179v)
