Colophon: Copyist's colophon on fol. 31v: והנה נשלמה העתקתו יום שנים עשר מאדר שני שנת רלו' מהאלף הששי שהוא אלף וארבע מאות ושמנה שנים מחרבן הבית שתבנה במהרה אמן סלה

The treatise is divided into two parts:

1. (f. 1r) on integers (10 chapters)

2. (f. 7r) on fractions: This part consists of 72 numbered chapters, then (fol. 18v) 5 chapters on converting fractions, then several chapters on (f. 19r) addition, (f. 22v) multiplication, (f. 22v) subtraction, (f. 24r) division, and (f. 30r) finding square roots.

Then follow (f. 31v) the translator's and copyist's colophon, which are followed by additional chapters on fractions. The text ends on f. 33r.

On f. 34, in a different hand, a short passage on addition.

Provenance and Acquisition

Probably belongs to 13 Hebrew manuscripts that were donated to the library in 1683 by John Fell, Dean of Christ Church and Bishop of Oxford. (See the Christ Church Library Donors Book, p. 194.)
