The scribe Shalom ben Solomon Yerushalmi copied the MS in Syracuse together with at least one more MS of astronomical content (Vatican,BAV, cod. ebr. 379, copied in 1482). He also ordered the copy of another MS in 1489 (Vatican, BAV, cod. ebr. 91). He is the author of Shabat shalom (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Poc. 183)

It belonged to the oriental collection of Robert Huntington (1636/7-1701), and was bought in 1693 together with 645 other MSS for £752 10s.
