Binding

Brown leather binding, blind-tooled, with the gold-tooled coat of arms of Archbisop Laud in the middle; holes for straps.Pastedowns are fragments of a Latin MS.

History

Origin: [Ashkenaz]; 1417/1418

Provenance and Acquisition

Ownership inscription: "Liber Guil[iel]mi Laud Archiepi[scopi] Cant[uarii] et Cancellarii Universit[atis] Oxon[iensis] 1636" (fol.1v)
