Additions: Second front flyleaf is a parchment charter of Pope Julian II concerning the St Catherine Church at Oppenheim and another one in Trier. The document is dated to January 1506. It mentions among others Berthold von Mainz (or Berthold von Henneberg, 1441-1504), the archbishop of Mainz. Illegible text on the recto of this leaf by a much later hand. Eightteenth-century (?) engraved title page with incorrect date (5149 instead of 5169) with the figures of Moses and Aaron, numbered as '264'.

Provenance and Acquisition

Ownership inscriptions by the scribe's son, Shlomoh bar Yitsḥaḳ: "אני שלמה בר יעקב" (fol. [ii]v that is a parchment charter); "משולם בר יצחק זל..." (fol. 1r, beginning of the inscription was trimmed off); "שליזאת הפרישה מחומש וכתיבת אבא מורי ז"ל נאום הצעיר משלם בר’ יצחק ז"ל המכונה קוופמן היימבך" . Onwership inscription by Naftali bar Yaʿaḳov

It belonged to David Oppenheimer's (1667-1735) library, which was purchased by the Bodleian Library in 1829.
