Attributed to Ptolemy, belived to be the Hebrew transation of his Centiloquium, but most probably written by Ahmad b. Yusuf al-Misri (835-912), Egyptian mathematician (ch. Sela, Abraham Ibn Ezra and the Rise of Medieval Hebrew Science [2003], 321-322).

Colophon: Colophon of the translator Kalonymos on fol. 99r: "נשלם זה הספר לבטלמיוס ופירוש לאבוחמד בן גוסף בן אבי אבראהתים ... והעתקתיו אני קלונימוס ... ע"ד לפרט"

Purchase note on fol. 100v: יוסף יחייה" " sold the MS to "לש’ סלימאן ירושלמי" .

Probably acquired between 1605 and 1614 (see Summary Catalogue).
