אני קהלת. לפי שהחכמה על לשון נקבה שכשם שהנקבה יולדת כך חכמת שלמה ע̇ה̇ הייתה מולדת חכמות רבות דבר מדבר לכך נאמ̇ אני קהלת הייתי מלך. הוא שאמרו ז̇ל̇ מלך [הד]יוט ומלך ס̇א̇ הייתי מלך פירושו בזמן שהייתי מלך ונתייאשתי מכל עסקיי ולא כותרו לפני עסקים להתעסק בהם התעסקתי בחכמה על ישראל העם שבחר בהם ה̇ק̇ב̇ה̇ וכל ישראל ויהודה היו תחת ממשלתי בירושלם העיר שבחר בה ה̇ק̇ב̇ה̇.

numbered in the margin. Fol. 43 begins in the middle of no. 101, then follows no. 102 (questions only) on fol. 44b, after which there is a lacuna of 6 leaves. Fol. 45 begins with the latter part of no. 104 and the rest is continuous, ending with no. 107 incomplete. The leaves are numbered קס, קסא, קסח to קעו. The text is arranged as in Ms. Mich. 462 [Catal. no. 828] fols. 142-144 and 149b-158b. The edition does not correspond.

On fol. 56b קינה beg. על היכלי אבכה יומם ולילה ולתפארת ציון עיר ההוללה, with acr. עב[א]ס, but the third strophe is wanting. Zunz, p. 343, no. 3.
